What does ritual mean to you?
Does it incite images of witches? Or religion?
What if ritual simply meant: something that was done or performed in an intentional manner? Takes on a bit of a new meaning, doesn't it? In that case driving your car could be a ritual, brushing your teeth or cooking food. What about conceiving an idea, a business plan, a baby? Could that be seen as a ritual?
When we bring intention to our actions, the actions take on a new meaning. The act hasn't changed, just our perception of it. If every movement, thought, emotion, etc. sends a signal to our nervous system which then effects our neurotransmitters and even our immunity (not making this up, it's science), then imagine the difference it could make in our lives if we were to perceive every action and every conversation as a sacred ritual to be respected.
Try it out for a day. Even an hour. See for yourself if you notice a shift.
